Hospira MedNet is a drug library software designed to help improve medication management at the patient's bedside and offer additional protection against medication errors that may lead to adverse drug events.

Hospira MedNet can be customized for up to 12 different clinical areas of the healthcare system (e.g., intensive care unit, emergency room, anesthesia, pediatrics). Each clinical area can prioritize the drugs listed in accordance with the facility's own criteria.

Hospira MedNet helps to ensure that healthcare system's best practices are adhered to and it tracks trends in compliance. It does this by requiring confirmation before any medication infusion can be activated, and capturing and logging all alarms and alerts generated from a clinician programming outside best practice limits. This enables healthcare facilities to monitor trends in their quality assurance programs and continuously improve standards of care.
